Playing in their second straight game of the week your Lady Rams took on the Comets of Coloma.

In the first quarter the lady Rams kept pace with the Comets in a battle That was going to come down to who had enough left in the tank at the end of the game with the first-quarter ending at 8 points a pc. The second-quarter was definitely a continuing battle as the lady Rams were able to trade points with the comets, winning the quarter 10 to 8.

“ We knew they were going to be a scrappy team and we knew they were going to play hard. They did a very good job in protecting the paint and doing their best to keep our posts out of the lane. We had a size advantage but Nuebecker (Megan) definitely made our post players work hard and earn everything tonight. She’s definitely a force in the paint offensively and defensively, we just needed to find a way to slow her down and take it vantage every time she had to come off the floor.” Said Coach Holland

“I was also very happy with how our girls played on defense,. The plan was to keep putting pressure on them the entire night and do what we could do to wear them down.” Coach Holland

In the second half the pace of the game stayed the same. However the Comets, came out strong in The third-quarter and were able to 90 out the Rams outscoring them 10 to 9. However the fourth quarter proved The Rams had no intentions of laying down as they would turn up the pressure with their press and rebounding How to scoring the comments 22 to 9.

“I was proud of our girls tonight. It was definitely a team effort and every girl played her part. It took us a little bit to find a rhythm and to get on track with what we needed to do, but when all cylinders started rolling The girls really made it a point to finish strong. I definitely have Coloma credit, They brought it tonight and made our girls work for every point. And I think it brought another level of competitiveness that I was glad to see from our girls.” Coach Holland said.

Game stats:

Grace Lyons lead all scores with 16 points & 4 Steals. Yasmin hall followed that up with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals. Followed up by Bernadette Brown scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals.
Constance Philllips scored six points with seven rebounds and Jordyn Holland added 5 points 3rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals
