The Lady Rams took on the the Plainwell Trojans this past Tuesday night in a Division battle were Plainwell remains undefeated.

The Lady Rams wentr into the game with 3 starters not playing due to injury and several stuffering from after effects of illness that has taken its toll on a few of the players. However the Rams showed no quit in the match up.

Plainwell opened up the first quarter capitalizing on several turnovers by the Rams and dead on shooting of their own ending the first quarter 21-2. But the Rams settled down in the 2nd to stop some of the bleeding with big baskets and making FT by (Jr-PG) Jordyn Holland (Jr-PG) and (Fr-Center) Dayzha Crowley with a 2nd quarter score of 9-12.

The second half started the same way as the first but the Rams continue to not quite and attack the Trojans defense forcing Plainwell into fouls. Though the Rams had a rough night shooting they were picked up by Freshman Center Dayzha Crowely who owned the paint grabbing 13 rebounds, 7 of them being offensive and scoring on 4 of those. However it wasn’t enough for the Rams as they lose to Plainwell 54-31.

“I was happy with how the girls played. I know we were missing girls with injury but the girls fought till the end and never quit. I was really proud of Dayzha tonight though. She really stepped up tonight. Shes doing alot of the little things we have been asking such as just boxing out and playing defense. just those things alone transitioned into some good looks and easy buckets for her. I’m also proud of the Free throws tonight. Jordyn went 5 for 6 and Dayzha went 100% going 5-5. We have struggled in this area the last few games so it was good to see us fixing that problem. ” Coach Joey Holland Said.
