The girls track and field team won their dual meet last night,Tuesday, April 9th against Dowagiac and Allegan. It all came down to the final running events in the duel against Allegan and girls supported one another to get a close win! In the field events Constance Phillips won the shot put with a season best of 34’1.25″, and placing second was Ameerah Burton, and placing 3rd was Erica McKind with a season best of 25’08.5″. In the discus Ameerah Burton won against Dowagiac and placed 2nd against Allegan with a throw of 81’07” and Alondra Llerena placed 3rd with a throw of 73’11” a personal record. In the high jump Marnie Frost place first with a season best of jumping 4’9″. In the Pole Vault Ellie Frost won with a season best vault of 9’6″. In the 100m Mashayla White ran well with a personal record of 15.28. In the 200m Yazmine Hall won with a time of 29.82 and Constance Phillips placed 2nd with a time of 30.33. In the 400m Jordan Taylor won with a time of 1:05.17, a personal record, Ellie Frost placed second with a season best of 1:08.07 and Leah Bennett placed 3rd with a time of 1:12.33, a season best. In the 800m Marnie Frost won with a time of 2:37 and Summer Corke placed second with a time of 3:10.43 and Rachel Weiss placed 3rd with a season best of 3:10.78. In the1600m Marnie Frost won with a time of 5:54, Summer Corke placing 2nd with a time of 6:13, a personal record. In the 3200m Marnie Frost won with a time of 12:55. In the 100m hurdles Liv Rickett placed 2nd against Dowagiac and Allegan with a season record of 19.34. In the 300m hurdles Liv Rickett placed 3rd against Dowagiac with a time of 1:04.7. In the 4x200m relay South Haven won with a team of Abby Bocock, Yazmine Hall, Jordan Taylor and Constance Phillips with a time of 1:56.27. In the 4x400m relay South Haven won with a team of Ellie Frost, Jordan Taylor, Leah Bennett, and Yazmine Hall with a time of 4:51.82.
