Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · Highlights From Track Regional Meet

The South Haven Track Team competed in the MHSAA Regional Meet in Sturgis on Friday, May 18. Multiple Ram Athletes qualified for the State Championships on June 2 at Zeeland. They were:

Constance Phillips Shot Put — 2nd place
Yazmine Hall, High Jump — 2nd place
Ellie Frost, Pole Vault — 1st Place- New School Record 9’9”
Paisley Sipes, 1600 Meter Run — 1st place- New School Record 5:15.96
Paisley Sipes, 3200 Meter Run — 1st Place
Brian Thompson, 3200 Relay — 1st Place
Craig Thompson, 3200 Relay — 1st Place
Justin Postma, 3200 Relay — 1st Place
Jackson Schooley, 3200 Relay — 1st Place

12 team members also were final medalist at the Regional Meet:

Of special note, please congratulate:

Paisley Sipes won 2 events, the 1600 Meter Run and the 3200 Meter Run.

Katie Schooley (400 Meter Dash, 1600 Meter Relay), Brian Thompson (1600 Relay, 3200 Relay), Jackson Schooley (3200 Relay, 3200 Run), Ameerah Burton (Shot Put, Discus), and Justin Postma (3200 Relay, 1600 Meter Relay) were all two medal winners.

In all, 17 athletes brought home 24 Regional medals for South Haven against the best runners in the Region!
