South Haven High School Seniors Allison Uckele and Jackson Schooley were honored by the Wolverine Conference on Wednesday with the Conference’s Scholar-Athlete Award. Winners must participate in two varsity sports during their senior year, and are chosen by a formula that takes into account their GPA and standardized test scores. The two were presented with their awards on Wednesday at a luncheon in Paw Paw.
Allison Uckele is the daughter of Bolton Uckele and Lisa Bucht. She captained both the swim and soccer teams this year and plans to study chemical engineering at Michigan State University in the Fall.
Jackson Schooley is the son of Kevin and Lori Schooley. He has been a standout member of the cross-country, swim and track teams and also plans on going to Michigan State University where he will study international relations.
Congratulations to both of these fine student-athletes.
