South Haven Senior Andy Klavins will play collegiate baseball at Adrian College next year. He was joined on Thursday afternoon by his family and coaches for a short signing ceremony. Pictured below is Andy with his twin sister Laila, his father Andy, his mother Marcy, and his varsity baseball coach Dave McWhinnie.
Andy was a standout baseball player and an all-conference performer for the Rams as a sophomore, but injured his knee last year and ended up missing his junior season. He is now completely healthy and poised to be a major contributor for the Rams. In addition to being an excellent athlete, Andy is also in the top ten in his graduating class and carries a 4.05 GPA.
