The South Haven Boy’s Track & Field team competed in another close meet at their last home meet of the season on Tuesday evening. In the double dual South Haven lost to Vicksburg with a score of South Haven 56 to Vicksburg 81 and won against Plainwell with a score of South Haven 70 and Plainwell 66. Field Events: In the shot put Marcus Guinn threw a PR of 36’6″ and Avarious Farmer threw a 34’8″ scoring points for the Rams against Vicksburg. In the discus Hayden Sardina threw a 115’3″ and Arvarious Farmer threw a PR 99’03” both scoring points against Vicksburg. In the high jump Kendall Cunningham jumped a height of 5’8″ a PR placing 2nd and Hunter Lynch jumped 5’0. In Pole Vault Justin Postma jumped 8’6″ and placed 3rd against Vicksburg and 1st against Plainwell. In the long jump Kendall Cunningham placed 2nd with a PR of 18″11.75, Nate Laskowski jumping a 17’01” and Zander Russell jumping a PR of 17″.00.5. In the running events Kendall Cunningham placed first with a time of 11.4. In the 200m Kendall Cunningham placed 2nd with a time of 23.98 a PR. In the 400m Justin Postma ran a time of 56.04, Brian Thompson ran a 56.14, and Edward DeLong ran a time of 56.97. In the 800m Craig Thompson won the event with a time of 2:09, Brian Thompson running a 2:13.23 a PR. In the 1600m Craig Thompson won the event with a time of 4:50.2 and Jackson Schooley placing 2nd with a time of 4:50.6. In the 3200m Jackson Schooley placed first with a PR of 10:30.72. In the 110 hurdles Alex Brantley placed 2nd with a time of 18.22 a PR, Demetri Zorbo-Taft ran a 21.19 a PR, and Nick Vandenberk ran a 22.21 a PR. In the 300 hurldles Alex Brantley scored points with a time of 45.72 a PR. In the 4×400 the team of Edward DeLong, Brian Thompson, Justin Postma, and Craig Thompson placed 1st against Plainwell and just missing the win against Vicksburg with a time of 3:45.98. In the 4×800 the team of Brian Thompson, Jackson Schooley, Justin Postma, and Craig Thompson won with a time of 8:40.7. Overall the boys competed very well the track meets next week will be on Tuesday at Three Rivers and then Friday at the Bangor Invitational.
